Axess Homes was founded on a simple but powerful belief — that there is a better way to build. After decades working across the construction and development industry, our team witnessed firsthand the limitations of traditional stick-frame construction: rising costs, inconsistent quality, lengthy build times, and mounting environmental impact.

We set out to change that.

Axess Homes manufactures advanced Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) engineered specifically for single-family residential housing. Our panels combine precision manufacturing with proven building science to deliver homes that are stronger, more energy efficient, and faster to build than anything conventional construction can offer. Every panel that leaves our facility is built to perform — not just today, but for generations.

President & Founder

Tom Ortiz

With over 30 years of experience in construction, development, and alternative building solutions, Tom Ortiz has spent his career doing what most builders never do — questioning whether there is a better way.

Throughout his career, Tom has built with and rigorously tested nearly every alternative building system on the market — from modular and prefab systems to structural insulated panels, insulated concrete forms, and beyond. That depth of hands-on experience gave him something rare: a truly informed perspective on what works, what doesn't, and what the industry actually needs.

After decades of evaluation, Tom found his answer in panelized SIP construction. The structural performance, energy efficiency, speed of assembly, and long-term durability simply outperformed everything else he had worked with. That conviction became the foundation of Axess Homes.

Tom brings to Axess Homes not just technical expertise, but a builder's integrity — a commitment to doing things right, delivering on promises, and building homes that stand the test of time.
